Aadhaar Verification Made Easy with QR Code and Facial Recognition

We frequently use our Aadhaar card for verification purposes. It has become essential today, and many people carry one. However, this is no longer necessary.

You won’t need to take your Aadhaar card with you anymore, as verification can be completed using just the QR code. The government has launched a new app to facilitate this process. Let’s explore the details.

Aadhaar has become an integral part of life in India. From opening a bank account to obtaining ration supplies, the Aadhaar card is required for various tasks. Until now, identifying oneself with an Aadhaar card was mandatory.

Those without an Aadhaar card often had to carry at least a photocopy to avoid complications. Many individuals spend around ₹50 to obtain plastic Aadhaar cards that are more convenient to carry. However, holding an Aadhaar card will no longer be necessary.

Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav recently launched a new Aadhaar app that allows users to complete verification tasks without a physical card. This app enables instant verification through a QR code and includes features like real-time facial recognition.

Aadhaar verification QR codes will be available where personal identification is checked. Once scanned using the app, verification will be accomplished swiftly and securely.

The QR code verification process in the Aadhaar app is safe and user-friendly, allowing verification in seconds. After beta testing is completed, the app will be implemented nationwide.

Minister Vaishnav emphasized that individuals can securely share their identity using their phones. Similar to UPI payments, Aadhaar verification is now straightforward.

Users can verify their identity digitally and share their Aadhaar details while ensuring personal security. Verification can be easily accomplished through a QR code or a requesting application.

Users can also verify their identity using facial recognition technology, which compares their live image with the biometric data stored during Aadhaar enrollment.

Like the UPI payment system, the Aadhaar app can scan a QR code for instant identity verification. The data shared remains entirely under the user’s control, ensuring there is no risk of data theft and that the information remains secure at all times.
