Andhra Pradesh Indian National Congress has announced the AP Crop Loan Waiver Scheme amount ₹2 lakh to farmers.
In Andhra Pradesh State about 60% of the Population resides in rural areas and their livelihood depends on Farming, Animal Husbandry, Dairy, Fisheries and other Agriculture related activities.
The Agriculture & Allied sector contributes about 18% to the GSDP per annum. Majority of farmers in the state are Small & Marginal Farmers.
This sector is prone to frequent droughts & other calamities resulting in distress among farming community.
The recovery of the farm sector therefore becomes critical for revival of rural economy and therefore the state will adopt a strategy of large scale public investment and provide direct support to farmers through various interventions.
In this regard, taking plight of the farmers into consideration in the state, the New Government will give priority to Agriculture sector has waived off the outstanding loans of all the farmers in the state.
AP Rythu Runa Mafi Scheme
AP Rythu Runa Mafi Scheme is a Crop loan waiver scheme (Farm loan waiver scheme) under which the Andhra Pradesh state waived-off farmers loan in the state.
AP Crop loan waiver scheme
AP Crop loan waiver scheme is an Agriculture Loan Waiver scheme and it is an initiative of the Andhra Pradesh state to reduce the loan burden of the farmers.
This scheme will cover short term production loans and crop loans against gold disbursed to farmers in the State.
Crop Loan Waiver Amount
Crop Loan waiver up to Rs 2 lakhs for farmers. So, the loan waived off under Agriculture Loan Waiver scheme. About 36.72 Lakh farmers would be benefited from the farm loan waiver scheme.
Amount eligible for waiver will be upto Rs.2.00 lakh (principal together with applicable interest) per family.
The farmer family is defined as head of family, spouse and dependent children. Eligible amount shall not include Processing charges, legal charges, Insurance, Inspection Charges etc.
Rythu Runa Mafi List
After new government formation in the state of AP, they will declare and complete the Rythu Runa Mafi list of eligible farmers on its official website (i.e. apcbsportal.ap.gov.in).
9 Guarantees
Congress party has given to people of Andhra Pradesh nine guarantees in case it forms its government in the state.
APCC president announced the 9 guarantees as part of her party’s manifesto released. The order in which the guarantees have been listed are
- Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh for 10 years.
- ₹8,500 Mahila Mahalakshmi payment per month to every poor woman.
- ₹2 lakh agriculture loan waiver for farmers,
- New minimum support price involving 50 per cent of return on investment,
- Employment Guarantee Scheme with minimum wage for labourers increased to ₹400,
- Free education from KG to PG,
- Filling up of 2.25 lakh vacancies in the state immediately after coming into power,
- ₹5 lakh worth pucca house to every poor homeless family in the name of women.
- Social security pension of ₹4,000 for as many eligible people in the house and ₹6,000 pension for disabled people.

AP Rythu Runa Mafi Eligibility
To be eligible for farm loan waiver scheme, the farmer must be in the State of Andhra Pradesh. Further, the Ration Card must be issued in Andhra Pradesh, and the farmer should have taken a loan specified time bound period (it will be announced through govt orders).
Applying for Crop Loan Waiver
To apply for loan waiver under the Rythu Runa Mafi scheme, the farmer has to register with the official website of the scheme.
After registering with the website successfully, the applicant will get a system generated, Login-ID and Password. The details can be used to login to the website to get the application form.
Required document for Ryhu Runa Mafi Applying
The following are documents which need to be submitted at the time of registration of the scheme:
- Aadhar card of the farmer
- Ration card
- Loan-related documents, along with their bank details.
Checking Eligible List & Loan Status
The state government has given an option of checking the loan status of the scheme online through account number.
The applicant can check the loan status by the ration card number and Aadhar card number.
All the registered farmers of the state can check for their Andhra Pradesh Rythu Runa Mafi Loan Status by following the below-mentioned steps –
- Visit the official website: http://apcbsportal.ap.gov.in.
- Click on the login button on the home page.
- Now, applicants will have to login by entering User ID and password.
- Click on Login.
- Now the applicant can check the list of eligible farmers and loan status.
