Pasu Kisan Credit Card: The central government will give loans to dairy, poultry, and fish farming farmers at meagre interest rates through the Pashu Kisan credit card scheme.
Loans of up to Rs.3 lakh at 4 per cent interest are provided, and no guarantee is required for loans up to Rs.1.6 lakh.
Under this scheme, low-interest loans are available to farmers of cows, buffaloes, goats, sheep, chickens, fish, and shrimp.
The loans are aimed at providing working capital to farmers, and the fact that no collateral is required for loans up to Rs.1.6 lakh can give farmers a sense of security and peace of mind.
With the Pashu Kisan Credit Card, farmers can easily access loans at low interest rates, empowering them to manage their financial needs without the burden of high interest rates.
Cattle breeders can also use this card as a debit card, and they are not required to pledge their land or other assets, giving them a sense of financial control.
Under the Pashu Kisan credit card scheme, the central government provides loans of Rs.60,000 for a buffalo, Rs.40,000 for a cow, Rs.720 for a chicken, and Rs.4000 for a sheep or goat.
Banks or financial institutions grant loans to Pashu Kisan credit card holders at 4% interest, sanctioned in six instalments.
Farmers have to repay the loan within five years. The government provides a 3% subsidy, demonstrating its support and care for the farmers, resulting in a 4% interest rate on the loans taken by the farmers.
