Rythu Bharosa Scheme: Farmers to Receive Rs. 15,000 per Acre

Rythu Bharosa: Great news for farmers during the festival – Rs. 15,000 to be deposited into accounts. Key announcement. Since coming to power, the Congress government in Telangana has been fulfilling its promises.

They have initiated the implementation of six guarantees, including free bus travel, an increase in the Arogyasree limit, distribution of gas cylinders for 500 units, provision of free electricity up to 200 units, and the launch of housing schemes like Indiramma.

During the recent festival, Telangana farmers received a waiver of Rs. 2 lakh in loans, showing the government’s continued support. The Rythu Bharosa Scheme will replace the Rythu Bandhu Scheme before the upcoming elections.

Under this new scheme, the investment assistance will be increased from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 15,000, which will also be provided to tenant farmers. The government has announced that farmers will receive Rs. 12,000 per acre.

There are allegations that the current government has been slow to implement this scheme, but the government is currently finalizing guidelines for the Rythu Bharosa Scheme.

The Agriculture Minister mentioned that the scheme will only be available to farmers who have planted crops, and the government will cover the crop insurance premium.

The government has completed the farmer loan waiver of up to Rs. 2 lakh, with some farmers encountering issues due to technical reasons.

The decision on whether to provide benefits to farmers with 5 or 10 acres of land is still pending, with officials considering the financial implications.

According to estimates, the total cost would be Rs. 22,800 crores for 1.52 crore acres. If the benefits are limited to 5 acres, around 62.34 lakh farmers will receive the Rythu Bharosa money, which would cost the government Rs. 15,000 crores annually.

With the 5-acre limit, the government would save around Rs. 7,800 crores while providing each farmer Rs. 5,000 more than the previous government. The Rythu Bharosa scheme is expected to be implemented by the end of the following month.

Rythu Bharosa

Investment is the most reliable way to boost agricultural productivity, increase farmers’ income, and break the rural indebtedness cycle.

To prevent farmers from falling back into debt, the government of Telangana has introduced a new scheme called the “Agriculture Investment Support Scheme” (“Rythu Bharosa”), starting this year. The government will allocate a budget very soon.

The Rythu Bharosa Scheme aims to relieve farmers of their debt burden and prevent them from falling into debt again.

Under this scheme, farmers will receive investment support for agricultural and horticultural crops through a grant of Rs. 12,000 per acre per farmer for each season.

This support can be used to purchase seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, labor, and other investments in field operations for the crop season.
